The TV Casting Scoop

With so many new and returning shows coming this fall, there have been a lot of new characters being added. Here are some of the big casting scoops:

See which “Lost” alum has been cast on “Chuck” to play brother to “Smallville”‘s Green Arrow (Justin Hartley). [TVGuide]

“The Vampire Diaries” has cast Claire Holt for the role of Becky, Stefan’s ex and an antagonist for Caroline. [Zap2It]

“Greek”‘s Evan Chambers (Jake McDorman) has been promoted to a series regular as a bartender on NBC’s midseason comedy “Are You There Vodka? It’s Me Chelsea.” [Deadline]

Nick Zano (“What I Like About You”, “Cougar Town”) will recur on CBS’s new comedy series “2 Broke Girls”  as a love interest for Max (Kat Dennings). [Deadline]

Scott Wolf scores a potentially recurring role as an FBI agent on “NCIS.” [TVLine]

Believe it or not, but “Game of Thrones” isn’t done expanding its cast. Good news for fans of the UK series “Skins,” as the show has cast Hannah Murray, who played Cassie on the shows first 2 series. [The Hollywood Reporter]

“2 Broke Girls” is a new comedy series that follows Kat Dennings and newcomber Beth Behrs as very different women struggling to make it in New York City. The show is set to premiere on Monday, September 19 with a special post-“Two and A Half Men” episode before settling into its usual 8:30 time slot the following week.
