Renewals: “Breaking Bad” has been renewed for a final season, while Adult Swim renews “Childrens Hospital for its 4th season.

Cancellations: TLC cancels “Kate Plus 8” after more than 150 episodes including “Jon & Kate Plus 8.”

Picture Preview: See the posters for NBC’s new fall series, as well as a first look at “7th Heaven” star David Gallagher on “The Vampire Diaries.”

Cast Shake-Up: “The Talk”‘s Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete will exit the daytime series after its 1st season.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past: It seems that the ghosts of Jeremy’s ex-girlfriends Vicki and Anna will actually be fighting against one another on “The Vampire Diaries.

Bye, Bye Cindy Lou: Not only has Taylor Momsen left “Gossip Girl,” but the “Grinch” star said that she  never plans to act again.


A Trailer A Day: “The Secret Circle”

From the creator of “The Vampire Diaries,” the CW’s new series “The Secret Circle” stars Britt Robertson (“Life Unexpected”) as a teenage girl who moves to a small town, only to discover that she descends from a line of witches. The show premieres on Thursday, September 15, and you can check out the trailer here:


The TV Casting Scoop

With so many new and returning shows coming this fall, there have been a lot of new characters being added. Here are some of the big casting scoops:

“Glee” has cast the always wonderful Vanessa Lengies (“American Dreams,” “Hawthorne”) in the recurring role of Sugar. [TVGuide]

In other “Glee” casting news, LaMarcus Tinker, best known for playing Tinker on “Friday Night Lights” or Travis’s roommate on “Cougar Town” will play the new boyfriend of Mercedes. [Inside TV]

“My So-Called Life”‘s A.J. Langer (Rayanne Graff!) will recur on “Private Practice” as a woman from one of our doctors’ pasts. [TVLine]

Autumn Reeser (“No Ordinary Family”) will be a new love interest on “Hawaii Five-0” for Danno. [TVLine]

Sarah Paulson will reprise her role as Lynnette’s sister on the final season of “Desperate Housewives.” Except this time, things are looking up for the formerly down-on-her-luck character. [TVGuide]
